It was an ominous start to the day of my first game shoot, I drove down the M56 with the rain lashing down and without a speck of blue in the sky. As the morning commenced the rain began to ease and the Cheshire winter started to brighten.
The shoot has a very serene atmosphere, at least from the side of the ‘Guns’, a waiting game, stood motionless at the edge of a wood or an exposed field, only for the quiet to be broken by the sound of the beaters making their way in our direction.
